About me

My name is Claire Jagger and I am an artist based in Leeds, UK.

I create abstract works ranging from postcards to murals with every size in between.

My sketchbook is used to gather influences, thoughts and ideas, colours and shapes. Colour mixing and mark making exercises are used to generate ideas for colours and shapes that I may use in my work.

I often repurpose existing surfaces and materials - whether this is working on existing canvases or framed landscapes unearthed in a charity shop, or painting with leftover household emulsion.
